From the A23, join the A27 towards Lewes and at the second roundabout showing exits to Lewes take the exit to Lewes. Go through the Cuilfail Tunnel, and turn right towards Uckfield. At the top of the hill take the right hand fork signposted B2192 (Ringmer). Go through Ringmer (B2192), at the mini-roundabout at the end of the village, take the B2124 Laughton/Hailsham (A22) road. Continue through Laughton until you reach Golden Cross, which is the junction with the A22. Turn left on to the A22 signposted London/Uckfield. Take the 1st right signposted Chiddingly. (Whitesmith Lane) Whitesmith Barn is about 200 yards on the right.

From the A22 proceed south towards Eastbourne. By pass Uckfield. Shortly after the roundabout and turnings to East Hoathly you will see the sign for Whitesmith. Look out for a lay-by and public phone box on the left. Immediately turn sharp left into a lane signposted Chiddingly (Whitesmith Lane). Whitesmith Barn is about 200 yards on the right.
